      Apex Stony Brook Kennel has been family owned and operated since 1965. We are a small kennel that can only board up to 36 dogs and 10 cats at a time. Being a small kennel, we really get to know our customers and their pets. You are not treated like a number in a computer with us. Most of our loyal customers have been with us for many years.

      Rates for boarding a dog: 1 day boarding for 1 dog is $25.00 1 day boarding for 2 dogs in the same pen is $35.00 If you are boarding for more than 1 day, then the rates drop to: $16.00 per day for 1 dog $29.00 per day for 2 dogs in the same pen. Rates for boarding a cat: $10.00 for 1 cat $18.00 for 2 cats in the same cage Size of pens On the small dog side, the pens are 4' by 4' in the inside and 4' by 12' outside. The outside pens are covered with a complete roof. On the large dog side, the pens are 4' by 6' in the inside and 4' by 12' outside. The outside pens are covered as well. The exercise area: We have 4 exercise areas that are 6' by 24', and 1 exercise area is 35' by 45'. We do not put dogs together in the exercise area. If you want your dog to be walked that is $2.50 extra. Feeding: You do what is best for your pet. If you want to bring your own food that is fine. If it makes the dog happy than I'm happy too. Medication: There is no charge for giving meds unless it is an injection. Bedding: If you forget to bring bedding, don't worry, we have bedding. All dogs are kept off the concrete with a plastic form that you can put bedding on. Please feel free to come and visit the kennel.
