My husband and I went last night (Saturday). The restaurant was very busy (as expected on a Saturday night). We ordered drinks in the bar while waiting for our table, and my dirty martini was not good at all even after the bartender made two attempts. I gave up and just ordered wine with dinner. Our appetizer (the calamari) was very good. However, my dinner was not so good. The crab cakes (which were so so) were the only warm items on my plate; the broccoli and rice were lukewarm when I was served and at half-way through my dinner they were cold. Through all this, our server was great, however. The restaurant is very pricy and for the money we paid for dinner I expected good food and drinks, I was very disappointed in both. We've eaten at The Lobster Shop before and really enjoyed everything, so I was very surprised at the poor quality last night.

This is an absolutely wonderful restaurant-the service is personal and perfect. Try the lobster bisque for lunch or the brunch on Sunday. It is to die for. Very good value for the brunch-compare it to going to a casino-real food, not reconstituted potatoes, etc

Classic NW Fare

I've only been for the Sunday breakfast/brunch buffet, and I was pleasantly surprised at the seafood selection. Casual atmosphere, great location on the water, and outdoor tables if the weather permits. Gets pretty busy on Sundays, so I suggest making reservations, especially if it's a holiday (Mother's/Father's Day). They were also gracious to my party - we had a group of about 12+ people, including a couple lively children, and although I felt bad for having to chase a 2-year-old around other guests' mean stares, the staff did not make us feel out of place, and even accomodated us by allowing us to continue our mini-event on the deck after our reservation was up.

My husband and I will be returning to check out the evening scene!

Best Lobster

If you like lobster, this is the greatest place in Pierce County. They also have a wonderful Sunday morning buffet-just don't eat the week before so you stay within your calories for the week!
