General Info
Brittany Tusa, Ph.D., a licensed clinical psychologist, is an Assistant Attending Psychologist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Tusa provides psychotherapeutic services within CopeNYP, the hospital system’s Employee Assistance Program, and the Physician’s Organization. She completed her APA- accredited doctoral degree from Hofstra University’s Clinical Psychology Doctoral program. She completed her APA- accredited internship at the Veteran’s Association New Jersey Health Care System in East Orange, NJ. Dr. Tusa completed her postdoctoral fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, honing advanced competency in cognitive behavioral therapy for a range ofanxiety, trauma, and mood related disorders. During her fellowship, Dr. Tusa simultaneously gained additional training in evidence-based trauma treatment at Weill Cornell’s Program for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Studies (PATSS).Dr. Tusa’s expertise and passion center around treating people struggling with anxiety, trauma, and mood related concerns. In particular, she has advanced training in treating these concerns utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention. Dr. Tusa has received thorough training and supervision in the delivery of trauma assessment and treatment, including providing Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She has worked with a diverse population of civilians, veterans, first responders, and healthcare workers across the diagnostic and demographic spectrum. Dr. Tusa’s research interests include PTSD treatment innovation, therapeutic applications of mindfulness, and advancements in telehealth delivered services.
