The salon is beautifully laid out and very relaxing. It has the perfect blend of Aveda's calming aromas, and Downtown Melbourne's serene daytime atmosphere. I was given, not only a fantastic style (my hair being very fine, straight, and hard to style) but the quality of custom hair color you expect from a well trained Aveda stylist. An all around fantastic experience!

AVOID AVOID AVOID I have been going to Avenda salons for years and consider them to be the "gold standard" for salons. Well...I've seen the worst salon/stylist of my life and I'm shocked that Aveda trained her. I asked a lot of questions and was told that xxxx would be the best fit for me. Turns out there are only THREE stylists in the entire salon so not a lot of thinking went into finding the right fit for me. When walking in I noticed that the salon is beautiful but empty - no customers. That should have been a major red flag, but what do you do - walk out? I wish I had. I've never seen anyone cut hair the way my stylist did. She took giantic chunks that she could barely get a comb though and held them straight up to the ceiling and chopped. I watched as she cut part of the chunk but not the whole thing. There was NO cross checking at all. One side of my hair is at least two inches shorter than the other and she couldn't even finish the cut in the amount of time that I had alotted. She was a nice girl but not skilled enough, by far, to be on the floor and the management obviously was not mentoring her. I am at a loss of who to go to in Melbourne because if this is what you get from an Aveda salon, God help me. I see why I was the only customer in the salon and will not make that mistake again.

I have been a loyal Aveda customer for years. I recently moved back to Brevard County and went for a hair cut here a few days ago. I have an angled bob which is hard for some stylists to cut. I came in and was the only customer in the salon, I waited a good 15-20 mins while the owner, finished eating her lunch before she decided to begin the appointment. The cut was not done correctly at all. It looked like a bowl was placed across the back of my head. I had both highlights and low lights when I came into the salon. I wanted the same pattern and color of highlights to be followed, which I expressed to her. I even called the last Aveda salon I went to and got the exact color formula. I gave this to her and told her to use these colors. She ignored the formula and did not use it. Bleach was placed on my low lights. The regrowth took faster than the low light leaving me with orange streaks in my hair. She did not even show me the back of my hair cut and get my approval. Further, when the color was washed out and before the cut was started I sat in the chair for another 20 mins while she talked to a friend who walked in the door. I spent the whole next day at another salon getting this mess fixed. This was the worst haircut and service I have ever had. I will be calling Aveda corporate offices to complain and the BBB and anywhere else I can find to demand a refund. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Been in there twice. The woman behind the counter was extremely rude. Very unfortunate. Hopefully, this is just my experience and not others.

Excellent salon. The stylists/colorists really know what they're doing. I've been to a couple others in the area and they all butcher my hair in comparison. The *only* negative is that they're so busy it can take a couple days to get an appointment.
