Bad ownership

I have been to Lilly's a handful of times, but after my last experience I will not be back. It was obviously a busy day for the restaurant and arrival of our entrees were a little slow, but not too bad. The one thing that completely disgusted me about this place was listening to the owner curse & scream at her employees, treating them as if they were beneath her. I was tempted to get up and leave. I have noticed that the employees never really seem happy to be there and now I know why. I have NEVER witnessed such a display of self righteous disrespect towards another human being. What made the situation worse was that the only problem I really had with my visit was the fault of the owner. Who insisted on taking our drink order and never brought them. The server promptly realized this and came by to take our drink order. The owner was too busy chatting up another customer, who clearly wasn't interested in what she was saying and seemed to just want to be left alone. I will NOT support a business that treats their employees this way. I hope the server and kitchen staff wise up and get a job where they are treated as people. This woman needs to get a clue.

Pretty good

I am in love with the steak and chicken salads, but they are WAAAAAAAAAY overpriced. $11 for a medium sized salad with sparse meat is BOGUS. I eat there frequently because it's super close to my office, but I branched out to try the subgum fried rice and had an awful experience. Nobody warned me how INSANELY spicy it was going to be and I had to throw the whole $13 dish away. I complained to one of the employees next time I went in to eat and all they said was I'm sorry. I think when your customers aren't happy you should try to make it right. If it were my business I would have realized that I needed to cough up some free friend rice (not spicy), since I failed to mention it on my menu.
