I was referred to them by Service Magic.com for a shower remodel job. I contacted the company about 5 weeks before Christmas to let them know that the project needed to be done by Christmas due to family visiting for the holiday. They said they would start right away & that the project would be done within a few days. After this, Esther, owner of Edge Design Group of Las Vegas, Inc. would not give me an official estimate & would only give me a verbal one that was not a specific amount (She said it would be about $1,500.00). Then she kept have one wild story after another why she had to keep delaying my project. There were alot of inconcistencies in her stories & it was obvious she kept stalling for time. Finally, she decided she was ready to have the project done just a couple days before Christmas & gave me a new estimate of about twice the original amount. About a week prior to this I had told her that there was no time for me to go to another contractor because of the upcoming holiday. Esther must have figured that I would pay any amount of money because I had to have the project done before the holiday & it was too late to go to another contractor. When she quoted me the new price I let her know that I was filing a complaint with the contractor's board. I wound up having to put my mother up in a hotel rather than have her stay at my home because of this companies practices. She then stated she had a team of lawyers & made all types of threats. What she did was a typical contractor scam. I saw it happening and was pretty sure that it was all a scam because of all the ridiculous lies and stories she used to stall for time for almost 5 weeks but I am too trusting a person.
