I was having severe heartburn for nearly 5 years despite various treatments. I finally saw Dr. Mantas who did an endoscopy and found that I did not have reflux as the cause of my heartburn but rather something called eosinophilic esophagitis. So glad I found Dr. Mantas! Dr. Mantas performed a colonoscopy on me last week. I was very nervous about it and dreaded it doing for several years. There are a lot of misconceptions about the procedure. The bowel prep was quite easy and I was entirely asleep for the procedure. I really felt fine afterwards but took the rest of the day off.
