Twisted Crap

So as a local I was super excited when I heard about a new crepe place downtown. Ever since living in Santa Barbara I have been hungering for some fast French food.

WOW was I in for a shock.

They are grossly understaffed. Two people work the actual job while the owner sits and plays on Facebook. They have a fairly low quality rating, I think a 96.5, for a brand new establishment. One would think that a new restaurant would have...no, want to have a 100%. They use Sysco food products, other than the Boars Head meat, which means they taste the same as every other place in town that has a gimmick (think Mela). You can't just throw some food together and call it cuisine. Don't get me started on the 1.00 dollar mark-up for avocado...the normal in Asheville is .50 cents.

To make matters worse you have to swim through the cloud of the ever present cigarette smoke produced by the 'manager' right outside the door. Then while you place your order you can actually SEE the swarm of fruit flies flying over the trash bin in the very back of the prep-room. Oh, and unless you just want to agree to get out of the conversation... don't talk to either the manager or owner. They will force-feed you their uber Christian opinions down your throat. Well, at least the body of Christ tastes good! As a Christian I can handle talk of God in all the different forms that people find Him, but their beliefs are just as bad as the food.

Boo-Hiss, shame on Asheville for allowing such smarmy business to take place in our awesome downtown. And how sad that they share a wall with Ello, well I guess if you walk out on your meal you have a far better choice to walk into.
